The children especially enjoyed the option to ‘bling’ their bike, which they were able to show off at the end of the day with a bike parade.

We are pleased to be invited along to Bradley Stoke Community School on Friday 13th July to take part in an award ceremony in recognition of their Courtyard Classroom project.
“The Courtyard Classroom offers so many opportunities to link science with wildlife” said Peter Stafford the school’s Science Technician. “Nothing we teach about ecology and science could possibly be as riveting as watching the transformation that this courtyard garden will make to our immediate environment. Our pupils will witness the colonisation by plants, trees, birds and insects and their observations will be used by the science department to link straight back into their curriculum. We are delighted with the support that Wessex Water has given us through this Award.
Children at Holy Trinity Primary School are used to seeing a variety of ‘well done’ awards at their Friday assembly. Usually for things like good behaviour in class, neat handwriting or particularly hard work.
An individual award for dedication was also given to The Chair of the Friends, Lou Day; she received a luxury Thorntons Hamper which looked absolutely delicious!
Bradley Stoke Town FC has become an integral part of the town since being founded in 2005. There are four senior teams; 1st’s, Reserves, A & B Teams. They play their home games at the Jubilee Centre, where the pitches are provided and maintained by the local council. The club’s ethos is to provide a friendly atmosphere for members to enjoy their football, to foster loyalty, encourage and reward effort, as well as promoting the town and the local community of Bradley Stoke. They have also forged ties with Bradley Stoke Youth FC to encourage the oldest members to join, but with four teams representing the Club, they are always on the lookout for new players to help improve the quality of the squad from across Bristol.
Little Stoke Primary School hosted the ‘The Circus Comes to Town’ on Tuesday 10th July, a musical festival enjoyed by over 200 Key Stage One children from Little Stoke and surrounding schools. Bradley Stoke mum-of-two, Mandy Sinclair, is used to doing all manner of household jobs that other people don’t like – from decorating, to cleaning, ironing and jobs in the garden. She has always enjoyed helping friends and family and her abilities were appreciated so much by those around her that she decided to set up her own business offering a range of household and garden services to the local community, for a fair and reasonable charge.
