BSCS Release 2nd Album of Original Tracks

Thursday, January 24th, 2013

After months in the making, Bradley Stoke Community School are extremely proud to announce the release of the second official BSCS album. The album features 12 totally original tracks, all written and performed by students of BSCS and the Concorde partnership. And all recorded in house by Mr Joe Trott, Performing Arts Technician, in the school’s professional recording studio.

They have selected the very best that the students have to offer and the talent on display is extremely impressive, not just in their ability to sing or play but in the student’s ability to write catchy and mature songs that are sure to have you singing along after one listen.

The album cover has been professionally designed and printed to ensure their talent is presented at the highest standard.

The whole music department are immensely proud of all the students involved in the project, their dedication to music can certainly be heard in their song-writing and performances on this album. We feel that all of their hard work deserves recognition. Please take this opportunity to consider supporting the students by purchasing the school’s official professional quality album. At just £5.00 they will make a great present for friends and family! All money goes towards music resources for the students and of course BSCS The album 3!

Artists include: Leigh Ayers, Nita Shabrina, Sam Badcock, Jade Sadgrove, Ollie Douglas & Tyler Selway, Ellie Rowland, Will Barber, Joe Kewley, Aaron Whyte, Josh Evans, Not So Anonymous and Will Harvey.

Any KS1 Children interested in learning to play the Ocarina?

Monday, October 31st, 2011

Local resident Lynn Booth is looking to start a new Ocarina group for Key Stage 1 children in and around the Bradley Stoke area in the New Year. This is a very easy-to-play, child friendly, wind instrument that plays a scale of D major. Lynn is looking for enthusiastic and willing children to learn this instrument, learning several songs, basic music and eventually perform in front of a small audience.

Lynn is looking to give lessons in the instrument at her house in Bradley Stoke on Tuesday and Thursdays from 4-5pm in term time only.  She currently works in a local primary school already teaching music and this instrument.

Lynn has set up a website http://www.bs-oc-group.webs.com and can be contacted at minehead151@hotmail.co.uk or mobile no. 07929 013 484

Lynn is keen to get this group up and running so please give her a call if you have a child who may be interested!
